Tier Two Ambassadors continue to sharpen their skills as tour guides throughout the summer by conducting tours of the Permanent Exhibition. Often, these students also give tours of the exhibit Remember the Children: Daniel's Story. This exhibition focuses on the experiences of children during the Holocaust and is targeted towards youth and school groups. Ambassadors also participate in Pre-Visits to schools. The goal of the Pre-Visits is to discuss with the different youth groups some of the things that they will see and learn during their visit to the Museum during their tour of the Permanent Exhibition.

During the summer, Tier Two simulates a United Nations meeting. Similarly to Model UN, the tier breaks into groups representing different countries and international organizations. The ambassadors try to solve a modern day international issue. Moderated by a State Department employee, the ambassadors explore diplomacy and what it means to be an Ambassador, which allows us to use these skills that we learn to understand our role as ambassadors to the Museum.

Art and Memory Project |
The Art and Memory Project is a tradition in which Tier One works alongside Holocaust survivors who volunteer to take small groups of ambassadors and share their personal experiences during the Holocaust. Tier One Ambassadors then create paintings that represent the story of their individual survivor. Using individual creativity the ambassadors hope to show their appreciation to the survivors of the Holocaust by representing their stories. Ambassadors are also able to show their dedication to learning this history and accomplishing our goal to never forget the events of the Holocaust.
