Describing BTLH
What attracted you to the BTLH program?
“I was drawn towards the BTLH program by my overall curiosity about the holocaust. I had always been interested in the topic but never had the chance to learn in depth about it. I continued to volunteer my time there because of the great friends I made who shared the same passion as I did.” Bailey Allegro
“I'm going to be honest, I joined because I just wanted service hours. I had no idea that I would fall in love with the program and everyone in it. I continue to volunteer my time to BTLH because it's worth it. Every minute I spend with BTLH is a minute full of smiles and knowledge. All those minutes add up to such wonderful experiences that it makes it impossible to not come back. There's an atmosphere and vibe that BTLH gives off that reels us all back in.” Aysha Hoque
“One of the biggest attractions of the BTLH Program is the sense of community and family. I didn't it was possible to forge lifelong kinships with those you wouldn't normally surround yourself with.” Sheralyn Saunders

and has helped me learn things about the Holocaust and genocide that a school
would never teach. It allowed me to be open up to people about important issues
and speak out against what is wrong.”Omar Khatib

surroundings, of world politics, and the systems that operate around me. It
made me look closer into governments abroad and question how the decisions of a
higher power can effect different groups in the nation.” Asia
Honablue
“BTLH has definitely helped me become confident in speaking out on
issues that I am passionate about no matter what others think, and has in the

a clear understanding of where I stand on issues of the world today, and that I
want to use my education and experience to impact the world around me.” Bailey
